Digital paw-print for pet portrait business

Wow! What can I say; Faster Women has given me the confidence and enthusiasm to develop my business further online.

Linda Pitcher is an artist who creates commissioned pet portraits; each individually presented in Linda’s handcrafted frames.

Linda and her family moved to Herefordshire in 2015 and soon after, prompted by family health problems, she decided to make a change. After working for over 30 years, Linda used her love of art to start a new career as a pet portrait artist and started Artisan Pet Portraits.

Going to see a Faster Woman about a dog!

My lifelong love of art and years spent painting in watercolour, oil and pastel, have allowed me to quite quickly turn my passion into my profession, but understanding how to promote my business didn’t come as quickly. That’s why the Fastershire courses and seminars have been so beneficial to me and my business.

Linda joined the Faster Women-in-business community in January 2016 and has attended a range of training sessions.

The courses have given me an insight into so many different areas – email campaigns, forms of free online promotion, creating online brochures, legal aspects of collected information as well as Twitter and Facebook.

The seminars have been excellent and the presenters are brilliant. They’re all so enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about their subject matter, which really helps bring the subjects to life and I’ve been so excited to start using all the techniques I’ve learnt.

Social Pet-working

I had no idea about social media before I attended the course but I left feeling really positive about utilising Facebook and Twitter for my business. I’ve since created a business Facebook page and Twitter account and I even tried using the ‘promoting’ tool on Facebook to encourage more follows.

I’ve recently completed my own website as well and incorporated a subscription form with a free flip book for sign up.

Making the purr-fect connection

More than just learning new skills and techniques, the Faster Women sessions have allowed Linda to build her network.

Being new to the area the Faster Women courses and seminars have provided me with a fantastic way to meet new people. As a new business it’s so important to network with other like-minded people and businesses not only to help promote my services but more importantly to share ideas and solutions.

Thank you for such entertaining and informative sessions – I’ve learnt loads and I am really looking forward to future seminars.
