A faster way to declutter

“Spending time in the Faster Women workshops with other business women really got my creative juices flowing. And because we are all master jugglers in our different ways, it made for a supportive environment where it is ok to admit that we’re juggling home-life, children, families, partners.”

Ros Hayes has been running ‘The Organised Company’ for just over a year, having previously been in the army, serving all over the world. The Organised Company offers decluttering services; helping people who are overwhelmed by their possessions to take control.

“Many people struggle to be objective and sort through their own things, so we help them both emotionally and physically to let their ‘stuff’ go, which in turn helps them to clear their heads”. Ros works with all sorts of different clients, from elderly people who are downsizing their homes to professional women who don’t feel they have time to declutter.

Getting Creative

Ros has attended two of the Faster Women sessions so far, a workshop on ebooks and a session on making videos, both of which she has found exceptionally useful. Ros already had the basic technical skills to create videos and ebooks and promote them via her successful social media accounts, but the two sessions she has attended have enabled her to take these skills one step further.

From being able to put together a simple video, I can now make my ebooks and videos look much more professional,” said Ros. “I’m now able to take them a step further and so am working on a couple of ebooks, one on decluttering tips and another on clutter confessions, and I’m going to be producing a new video about wardrobe decluttering. Attending the workshops also gave me the opportunity to generate ideas with other people and make links that I never would have had otherwise.”

Ros feels strongly that the opportunities brought by attending Faster Women workshops are significant. “For most of the women attending the workshops their businesses are not just a ‘hobby’ they really want to make a successful business and these workshops are a great step in that direction.”
